Success Stories

It’s easy for Denmac to tell you why we think we should work together. Our customers actually do a better job. Here’s what just a few have to say.

Briggs and Stratton is the world's largest producer of air-cooled gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment.  A recently acquired division was using Microsoft Exchange instead of Briggs and Stratton's corporate standard Novell GroupWise.  Inconsistencies in scheduling, calendaring, and addressing created barriers to collaboration between the new division and the rest of Briggs and Stratton.  Having work with Denmac for over 14 years, they asked us to help consolidate the environments.  Read the full story

“Denmac has been a trusted partner for many years.  They understand our business and we depend on them to deliver meaningful business results.  This was a highly visible project throughout the organization and we know that projects of this nature can be tricky even with the best planning. Denmac did a great job in executing and managing the project.”
Jay Schaffer, IT Technology Manager, Briggs and Stratton

A name recognized around the world, Master Lock is the largest global manufacturer and marketer of padlocks.  After 64 years in their Milwaukee, Wisconsin location, Master Lock was moving to a new facility in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.  With over 750 employees, the challenge was determining how to build a voice-over-IP enabled LAN network, move the WAN, re-route the telephony network, and migrate the data center with minimum disruption.   Having worked with Denmac on a number of previous projects, Master Lock asked Denmac to head up the LAN/WAN infrastructure and data center aspects of the move.  Read the full story

“This was a high profile project that needed to be done seamlessly, or pretty darn close to it. Having worked with Denmac on previous projects, I had the trust that they would get the job done right.  This is the type of project where experience counts and it showed in how well they designed the environment and managed the project to get us there. From the planning and details, to the communication and collaboration with other vendors.  The project was a tremendous success and I am extremely pleased.”
Barry Jondahl, Technical Services Manager, Master Lock

The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA) owns the McCormick Place complex, including McCormick Place Hyatt Regency and Navy Pier. They seek to promote tradeshow, conventions and public events to Chicago, in an effort to strengthen the city, state and regional economies. Their goal was to be the most technologically advanced exposition center in the nation.  This demanded a network that was reliable, scalable, customizable, high performing, able to guarantee any bandwidth - and it need to protect both the exhibitors and the MPEA from intentional or accidental compromised to their environment.  MPEA asked Denmac to build their next generation tradeshow floor. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, JC Whitney & Co. is America’s premier source of “Everything Automotive.” Maintaining their competitive edge hinged in part, on having the technology in place to support their needs for today and the growth of tomorrow.  After seven years of reliable performance, the existing shared service environment was in need of a complete overhaul.  JC Whitney called on Denmac (we had designed and built the original infrastructure) to develop a strategy to upgrade their shared service environment to one that provides better performance, better reliability and fault tolerance, and is easier to maintain and support. “Like most companies, if our network goes down, our company stops.  We realized that it was time to upgrade our file, print, and e-mail environments in order to continue providing the invaluable services that JC Whitney needs to function.  This massive migration would have to be done right the first time. . . so we turned to a business partner we could trust, Denmac.

We were familiar with Denmac's technical expertise and results-oriented methodologies from prior projects, and we could afford no less in accomplishing our current goal.  The results speak for themselves - we have a rock solid shared services infrastructure that has positioned us for the growth we are anticipating.  The project was a wonderful success.”
Gary Johnson, Director of Computer Services, JC Whitney & Co.

Consumers Cooperative Credit Union (CCCU) is one of the largest credit unions in Illinois, offering an extensive array of products and services geared to meet the specific financial needs of their members.  Their computing environment based on Citrix and thin client terminals had served them well for over four years, but the technology was now outdated, resulting in performance bottlenecks and outages.  Denmac partnered with CCCU to re-architect their environment, leveraging the latest in hardware technology, managed desktops, and server management.  Read the full story
